The Great American Cheapskate

I ran across this video, “The Great American Cheapskate”, a 20/20 piece and decided to share this with you today instead of my usual. Why, you might be asking. Well this video demonstrates how an individual has selected a different lifestyle and he is very happy. He has a reputation as being the cheapest man in America. Some of you might be repelled at some of the things he does, but look beyond that and see a person who in spite of how he lives”, is clearly an out the box doer, and is going to probably sail through what the media is calling a, “recession”.

He and his wife are debt free, and happy. That’s what’s important in life anyway. Not that you just get through it(life), but how you get through life and the lessons learned along the way. How you mentally get through a situation, is produce the actions you take to get through a situation. Will reflect your true character.

As far as the “recession”, don’t sit there and accept that things are going to get worse, be horrible, that your life is destroyed. If you do, you may experience fear like you’ve never felt before. Some people freeze, others flee.

I’ve decided not to mentally participate in the “recession” mindset. Now, I’m being a realist about the economy but my attitude and outlook about life is not and never will be dismal. We live in a great country, have a great history, and from this “recession” someone, somebody’s will rise to greatness. Let it be you.

Here’s an analogy: The recession is like a dirty car that is going through the car wash. When it comes out, and is dried, and polished, it (you) will shine.
