Stay focused on the quality of the intellectual exchange rather than trying to impress with looks and superficial behavior. If you are not a professional, trying to act like one will not get you too far. You either are professional or not. So you should really just be focusing on having a vibrant exchange of ideas with the company about how a certain discipline works.

well… if you’re applying at mcdonalds obviously… they just hope that you know how to say “would you like fries with that?” to be on the safe side wear a button up shirt and some nicer pants. not your pantera shirt and dirty dickies. and do your hair nicely.

Why admitting that you overslept? Would they still hire knowing that from you?

Just dress simple, but professional. For most jobs, yes, you do need to wear a suit. Don’t be too perfect in an interview, they will not hire you. Just use common sense and your intellect to pull you through. Keep focus and do not talk too much. Remember to answer the questions they ask, don’t go beyond. Make sure you are on time, even though they are not. Of course, even with these tips, you are always going to get the job.

When they ask you to tell them about yourself that is when you tell them to download the pictures of you when you were in prison doing time for killing all the management in the last company you were with.
